The new CD is out now!
After Hours – the new album by the Fauré Quartet is now released and available in stores! After Hours is music for the moments afterwards. – Music for the time of encores. – After the actual concert. On this CD, the Fauré Quartet gives space to the music that hardly any concert can do without. At the same time, it is a small spectrum of what has characterized the quartet from the very beginning: A serious and effortless bridge-building across styles and continents. And a bridge over their own 28 years with encores from the past and present. And the Fauré Quartet also pulls an unusual trio out of its hat: the singer Annette Dasch, the principal clarinettist of the Vienna Philharmonic Matthias Schorn and the Finnish composer, arranger and pianist Jarkko Riihimäki. Encores surprise. – This album also surprises. And if you want to buy the CD here is the link:

The FQ as guest at the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires
In a few days, the Fauré Quartet will once again give a guest performance at the world-famous Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires. Within a week, the ensemble will tour Uruguay, Argentina and Brazil. The Colón is, of course, the highlight. Not only for Furtwängler was (and is) this theater the best and most beautiful opera house in the world.
The Fauré Quartet currently in North America
The Fauré Quartet’s fall tour began on the East Coast, in Maryland. It continued via Toronto, Canada, to Oregon on the West Coast. The quartet is making three guest appearances here this time. The tour ends in Phoenix, Arizona, which is already a home game for the FQ. In about 160 days the quartet will be back in North America!

At the end of the year on two continents
The year is coming to an end, but there is still enough time for the Fauré Quartet to fly to the USA for another two weeks. And in the pre-Christmas period the quartet will travel to various cities in Germany and end the year in Austria (Vienna) and Denmark.

With German-Austrian-Hungarian sounds, the quartet will enrich this year’s Kissinger Sommer, a classical music festival in the heart of Germany that focuses on cultural and historical cross-connections. The concert is June 19. Rarely heard and played: The Piano Quartet by Dvorak’s son-in-law Josef Suk, who formally earned the great composer’s daughter with this work.

The summer and Corona break is over – it’s starting again!
Shortly before the summer break, the quartet was finally able to perform again. Now the new season begins with some concerts postponed due to corona, e.g. on 09.09. with the Beethovenfest Bonn and on 14.10. with the Alte Oper Frankfurt (unfortunately sold out). There are also Donaueschingen (25.09.), Lörrach (13.10.), Germering (22.10.), Bad Saulgau (31.10.) and Aschaffenburg (01.11.). Unfortunately, two planned USA tours in autumn are cancelled due to visa restrictions. The year will hopefully end in Japan in December.
